TYPES OF MOUNTS
There are 4 types of mounts to choose from when ordering a custom stamp.
We do not sell custom stamps unmounted.

Handle Mount

HANDLE MOUNT

If you choose a Handle Mount, your custom stamp will be mounted on a standard commercial mount with a black handle. The handle is rounded, with a flat area in the front for your thumb to rest on as you stamp. Proper holding of this flat area also ensures that your stamp is in the correct position and will not be accidentally stamped upside down. Handle Mounts are available in clear photo-polymer or rubber.

Wood Mount

WOOD MOUNT

If you choose a Wood Mount, your custom stamp will be cushioned and mounted onto a hardwood maple block in the same way as we mount our art stamps. The design is indexed and placed on the top of the mount, for your convenience in placement of the image and also for ease of identification when stored. Wood Mounts are available in clear photo-polymer or rubber.

Self-Inking Mount

SELF-INKING MOUNT

umark self-inkers are designed to work as great as they look. The ergonomically shape, soft rubber feel and smooth action make them easy to operate. It features durable, double-wall construction and "no slip" rubber feet to hold the stamp securely in place. The "open bottom" mount design allows you to position your stamp for the perfect impression every time.

The type of paper the impression is made on will determine it's drying time. Your stamp is not intended for use with glossy paper.

Re-inkable: Simply slide out the ink pad, apply several
drops of ink to the pad, and insert back into the unit.

How to reink your self-inking stamp:
Push the top of the unit down approximately 1/8". Push the buttons (located on each side) inward to lock the unit in place. Push the pad out from either side. Replace the old pad or apply ink to the face of the old pad. Allow 5 minutes to soak in and insert back into the self-inker. Press down on the top of the unit and the locks release automatically.

We strongly suggest using the proper type of ink to reink your stamp. Using the wrong kind of ink can ruin your stamp die.
For best results use Ideal Ink only.

Self-Inking Mount

PRE-INKED MOUNT

The istamp pre-inked stamp has an innovative design that offers solid construction, advanced re-inking system, and superb impressions. Its precise engineering creates a smooth and quiet action. The ergonomically designed handle offers the ease of use and helps create a solid, crisp and even impression.

Other points to consider about a pre-inked stamp:

  • The type of paper the impression is made on will determine it's drying time. Your stamp is not intended for use with glossy paper.
  • The dust cover allows you to keep your stamp clean when not in use. If the surface of the stamp does get dirty, place cellophane tape directly on the stamp surface and remove. The tape will remove the loose particles and enable the stamp to make better impressions.
  • If you get ink on your fingers, use rubbing alcohol and then soap and water.
  • To avoid stains, keep away from clothing.
  • Keep your pre-ink stamp away from children.

Re-Inkable: To re-ink, simply pull off the handle and
apply a few drops of ink into the chamber. Replace cover.

How to reink your pre-inked stamp:
Remove the handle and place ink in the ink ports. Sizes do vary, so the amount of ink required will vary. Divide the quantity of drops evenly between the two ink ports. Let the stamp sit overnight. If the impression is still too light, repeat. Always reink with the same color as the original stamps. Leave stamp in upright position after inking.

We strongly suggest using the proper type of ink to reink your stamp. Using the wrong kind of ink can ruin your stamp die.
For best results use i-stamp preink Ink only.
